An open letter to Wyoming voters
With Ms. Cubin declining to run for re-election, the voters of this state will need to decide on a qualified Republican candidate to take her place. Ms. Cubin served this state well and I wish her all the best in her future endeavors. Now we must pick an equally qualified candidate to represent this great state.
My fellow citizens, Bill Winney represents the great ideals of the Republican Party. He is not tied to any
political name or agenda and seeks only to represent this great state as a Republican Congressman. His
career in the Navy saw him climbing through a corporate ladder where performance was key. His everincreasing
duties saw him in command of two of America’s great fighting ships with one carrying forth a
portion of the heavy weight of this nation’s nuclear triad. He has served in the Pentagon three times, where
he dealt with Congress on many Department of Defense and Naval matters. These tours especially prepared
him for the political realities of Washington, D.C. . Now he seeks to serve the citizens of Wyoming and put
this hard learned experience to use in support of the various concerns that affect each and every one of us.
The concerns of a citizen in Cody may be totally different from that of the citizens of Wheatland and when all
is measured out, the local and state issues are one of his main concerns. Whether we are talking about our
being the watershed for many states, the mining and ag industries, or the fact that many of Wyoming’s
citizens are rapidly approaching their senior years – Bill Winney recognizes the special needs of our state.
Many states look at us as the backwaters of the United States and never fully realize just how much we
contribute to this great country.
We need a representative who can argue forcefully for what is right for us and Bill Winney is that person. For years he placed country above all else and did so very successfully and now let us let him use that same inner drive to represent us in Washington D.C.
Thank you for supporting Bill Winney.
